Straight Oil
Used primarily in vintage aircraft and when breaking in new or overhauled cylinders.
These are the oils generally referred to as "Red Band" or "Straight Oils". These comply with the requirements of TCM and Lycoming (non-turbo engines) for the running-in of new or overhauled cylinders.
